As Florida continues to hit the football recruiting trail hard, the program offers plenty of preparation opportunities as the spring season begins. One of the latest targets for Billy Napier and his staff is three-star offensive tackle Bryce Love, from Rocklage, Florida, who has been coming to campus regularly over the past few weeks.
The 6-foot-5-inch, 325-pound lineman has visited Gainesville for the past three consecutive weekends, with his latest stop opening slightly more than before, according to Gatorade Online.
“I haven’t seen the meetings yet, so I got there at 8:30,” Lavat suggested. “I sat in the meeting, watched it all and then went and saw the practice again. Some of my teammates came with me, so we looked around the facility, took pictures and just chilled.
“It simply came to our notice then. I got to see how they talked and how they met, so it was good. I like how they do it. “
Although On3 has listed him as an internal defensive lineman, Love expects to find more representatives on the outside of the tackle. 247 Sports and rivals both listed him as an offensive tackle in their respective scouting reports.
Speaking of 247Sports, hiring reporter Blake Alderman submitted his crystal ball predictions for Lavat in late March, leading the Gators to the services of the big linemen.
The In-State Athlete is ranked 653rd overall potential and 57th-best player in offensive tackle, according to 247 Sports Composite, while On3 ranks 727th and 66th among all internal offensive linemen.
