Florida has increased scholarship offers to several quarterbacks in the 2023 cycle, including Arch Manning, Dante Moore and Christopher Vigina. Marcus Stokes, a four-star quarterback from Nice High School in Jacksonville, Florida, is expected to get the green light soon. The Gators have been evaluating him for the past month and are now ready to host him on the 26th later this month.

Nice High School should be familiar to most Gator fans because that’s where Florida’s Great Team Tebo Heisman played before winning the trophy. Stokes said he didn’t know much about Orange and Blue except for what he saw on TV and Tabo starred there. However, under new head coach Billy Napier, he has spoken to some of the prospects on a recent tour.

“The Gators are really successful, and I know a lot of people who went there,” Stokes told Swamp247. “People I talk to want to tell me how amazing the new staff is. I talked to Treyaun Webb and he said they have a great staff there. “The staff there are great, and I’d love it,” he said. I’m really excited to get out because it’s so close to home. “

Most of his conversations have been with offensive analyst Ryan O’Hara, with whom he has spoken now and then. He told Stokes that he was impressed by his throw from the All-America Combine in Texas.

He said he is looking forward to seeing how the team will practice on March 26th. Stokes says he has trained with current Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson and wants to see what Napier’s offense looks like.

So far, he has 11 scholarships to his name and says Penn State and Virginia Tech have done their best to build relationships with him, although Tennessee and Miami are mentioned though they have not yet offered. Florida has not yet made the offer, but Stokes added that it could be a game-changer for him.

Then looking at a decision, he said he didn’t think too much about it and let the recruitment process play out.
