The 2021-22 high school basketball season ended with the defeat of the Academy Link Academy in Montverde to secure the crown of its GEICO Nationals over the weekend.

This year’s GEICO Nationals is arguably the biggest disaster in the history of the tournament, as top pick Sunrise Christian Academy lost in the Prolific Prep quarterfinals despite two McDonald’s All-Americans not recovering. The stunning man snatched the opportunity to bring Sunrise Christian home to a national championship in a season where it seemed like an adversity for the favorites.
