LeBeus Overton decided in February to re-classify from 2023 class to 2022 class. Now, he is taking the necessary steps to end his appointment.
According to 247Sports, the five-star defensive lineman outside Milton High School in Georgia has scheduled an official visit with Ohio State and Oklahoma. Buckeyes, Sooners, Georgia, Oregon and Texas A&M are the main competitors for the Overton landing at the moment.
Overton will visit Oregon for the first time this weekend. Georgia is following the docket following a trip to Athens scheduled for March 20 and a trip to Texas A&M on March 25.
Overton was the top recruiter in the 2023 class before being reclassified in 2022. The 6-foot-4.5, 265-pound defensive lineman now ranks 18th in the country, according to the industry-produced 247 Sports Composite rankings.
“Good height and length with a projectable frame that fits different roles on multiple fronts,” 247Sports’ Gabe Brooks wrote in his scouting report for Overton. “Strong overall athletic profile with two-way snap. Also a good basketball player with sport-specific skills and some explosive athletes who are exposed on the court and gridiron. Combines proven athleticism with a number of exciting tests. “
