Penn State is in a significant recruitment battle for an in-state four-star linebacker, and a decision date has been set on the calendar to announce the commitment. Four-star linebacker Josiah Trotter has announced, Via TwitterThat she will be committed to the school of her choice on Friday, April 15 (her birthday).
Trotter had previously updated his recruitment status by publishing his top five schools in late February. Penn State was among the remaining five schools in its recruitment process, including Clemson, South Carolina, West Virginia and Virginia Tech. Virginia Tech, of course, is currently trained by former Penn State Defensive Coordinator Brent Prie. Trotter’s older brother, Jeremiah Trotter Jr., signed with Clemson in 2021.
Trotter is one of the top recruiters from Pennsylvania, which naturally makes him a top target for his staff, including head coach James Franklin and new defensive coordinator Manny Diaz.
Despite being so close to an announcement, a single crystal ball has not yet been predicted on 247Sports, so it seems difficult to gauge a favorite to land Trotter until the decision is announced in less than two weeks. But on the On3Sports prediction machine, West Virginia remains an irresistible favorite with a 90.2% chance of receiving Trotter’s promise.
I will be committed to my birthday on 15th April!
