Today, on International Women’s Day, women and girls from around the world who are participating in the La Liga Foundation project are sending a message of hope to society. To protect equal rights and opportunities and to strengthen the role of women in sports.

Around 2,500 girls from around the world have already participated in various workshops, activities and sports competitions, improving their confidence and self-esteem as well as improving their social skills and sports knowledge as a means of integration through football.

Similarly, 134 coaches and 10 referees have received specific training in El Salvador, Jordan, India, Cameroon and Uganda among other countries to open up their future opportunities and empower women in sports.

In Spain, we inculcate values ​​in young girls through the Futura Hobby Educational Project; Raising awareness of equality from an early age is one of the main themes of this program. Also, La Liga Genuine Santander is an inclusive and progressive league in the world for people with intellectual disabilities; 77 players over the age of 16 participated.
